There are many advantages to hiring an energy broker for electricity or natural gas in a deregulated market. Most of the value a broker can deliver has to do with procuring low-cost energy for savings directly from suppliers.
An energy broker acts as a liaison between the customer and energy suppliers. Brokers negotiate with suppliers they have built relationships with to find lower energy prices for their customers.
The short answer is yes. However, keep in mind that energy suppliers will provide you with the market high rate. Some will even charge you sign-up fees.
Energy brokers are paid by the supplier. Brokers are paid once a contract is approved and has been signed by the customer.
The simple answer is NO. Customers do not pay anything out of pocket to the broker or the supplier.
If you have an outage, you will still contact your electric or gas company. Example: Eversource, National Grid, Liberty Utilities, Unitil, CMP, Versant, etc.
The only line on your bill that will change is the supply line. The name of the supplier with your new rate will show on your bill. You will still receive your monthly bill from your electric or gas company.
Your new rate will take 1 billing cycle from the date your contract starts.
Yes. You can choose your terms. The standard terms are 12, 18, 24, 30, and 36 months. We also offer custom pricing.
No. You will always remain with your utility company, which is separate from your energy supplier. Your utility company is responsible for the delivery of your energy from your supplier to your building through the utility company’s wires and pipes.
When the time comes to switch suppliers your utility company will start delivering the energy from your new supplier. Your energy flow will never be interrupted.
